you face the mirror wishing you were someone else staring back with the love that you once felt he used to lift you up like his favorite book turning pages carefully for a closer look but as children do he forgot how to play he found a new game and turned away you feel cold as you wither fast just like a toy from a once warm past you miss his smile his laugh and his heart you wish for a button to say restart he promised you his love would never die and you fall asleep with a heart-shattered cry.
